2020 Volkswagen Amarok Black ED V6 TDI 4MOT A 3.0L Diesel · GL20 ACY

The vehicle is currently roadworthy, with no defects recorded in its most recent MOT on 2023-07-05 at 19,667 miles. The maintenance trend remains stable, as the single recorded test shows no issues requiring immediate attention. However, the absence of further MOT data since 2023 raises questions about long-term maintenance consistency, particularly given the vehicle’s age and the extended interval between inspections. The recorded mileage of 19,667 miles over six years equates to an average of 3,278 miles annually, significantly lower than typical usage for this model. This suggests either infrequent use or prolonged periods of inactivity, which can accelerate wear on components like suspension bushes, battery health, and fluid systems. The lack of subsequent MOT entries means no recent assessment of wear on consumables such as tyres, wiper blades, or brake pads, leaving potential degradation unverified. A buyer should prioritise a hands-on inspection of the suspension system, including coil springs and shock absorbers, to assess for age-related fatigue or corrosion. The exhaust system and emissions control components should also be checked, as low mileage can sometimes mask underlying issues. Structural integrity remains unconfirmed, so a thorough underbody examination for rust or damage is advised, particularly if the vehicle has been stored in a damp environment.
