2016 Mitsubishi ASX 2.3L Diesel · GL66 ESU

The vehicle remains in a roadworthy condition, showing a clear trend of improving maintenance standards. The most recent test on October 7, 2025 at 37,101 miles passed with no recorded defects or advisories. This follows two consecutive years of clean results since 2023, indicating that the current owner has addressed previous mechanical concerns and maintained the vehicle to a high standard recently. The mileage profile is exceptionally low for a ten-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 3,710 miles per year. The data shows consistent, low-interval usage with 4,321 miles driven between October 2023 and 2024, and another 4,854 miles between 2024 and 2025. While low mileage suggests less wear on the drivetrain and engine components, it increases the risk of rubber-based parts degrading or brakes seizing due to periods of inactivity. A buyer should pay particular attention to the records from November 2022 at 22,646 miles, which flagged both front and rear inner brake pads and both front tyres as reaching the legal limit. While these were rectified as evidenced by subsequent clean tests, the low mileage warrants a physical inspection of the brake calipers for corrosion or pitting on the discs. Given the age of the vehicle, the tyres should be checked for sidewall cracking, as rubber often ages out before the tread wears down on low-use cars.
