2016 BMW Z4 2.0L Petrol · H13 HAH

A consistent record of roadworthiness defines this vehicle, with eight consecutive MOT tests resulting in passes without a single recorded defect or advisory. This trend of stability is maintained through the most recent inspection on 4 March 2026, indicating that the car has consistently met the minimum legal safety and environmental standards without requiring corrective work during the testing process. The recorded mileage of 16,092 miles is significantly low for a ten year old vehicle, averaging approximately 1,609 miles per year. Such a low accumulation rate suggests the vehicle has spent substantial periods stationary or has been used for very short distances. Mechanically, this typically results in minimal wear on the drivetrain, suspension bushings, and engine internals, though it can introduce different risks associated with prolonged inactivity. The absence of any recorded advisories across eight tests means there are no specific mechanical failures, such as suspension linkage wear, brake pipe corrosion, or oil leaks, highlighted by the DVSA. During a test drive, the focus should remain on verifying the smoothness of the steering and the absence of any knocks or vibrations over uneven surfaces, as these would be the primary indicators of wear not captured in the current record. Attention should be paid to the operation of the braking system to ensure there is no binding or pedal judder, as these symptoms can sometimes manifest in low-mileage vehicles. A physical inspection of the underbody for any signs of surface corrosion will complement the clean MOT history and provide a more comprehensive understanding of the vehicle's structural integrity.
