2014 Ford Fiesta 1.6L Petrol · LP14 OPJ

This Ford Fiesta maintains an exemplary record of roadworthiness, distinguished by a total absence of recorded defects or advisories over several years of testing. The most recent pass on 10 July 2025 confirms a sustained trend of mechanical stability, indicating that the vehicle has consistently met DVSA standards without requiring corrective work for the items typically flagged during these inspections. A total mileage of 56,468 miles over twelve years reflects a low usage pattern, averaging roughly 4,706 miles per year. This level of accumulation suggests significantly less wear on the engine internals, gearbox, and suspension components than is typical for a vehicle of this vintage. Such a profile indicates the car has spent more time stationary than in active service, shifting the mechanical focus toward the condition of seals and rubber components. Given the clean MOT history, there are no specific component failures such as worn suspension bushes or corroded brake pipes to target. A physical inspection should instead focus on verifying the absence of oil misting around the engine bay and ensuring there is no evidence of surface corrosion on the subframe or sills that has not yet reached a failure threshold. During a test drive, attention should be paid to the smoothness of the gear transitions and the absence of any unusual vibrations through the steering wheel or pedal box. While the DVSA records show no issues, confirming the absence of any knocks or clunks over uneven surfaces will ensure the suspension remains in the condition suggested by the low mileage and clean testing history.
