2016 Mercedes-Benz A-Class 1.5L Diesel · NG16 OZD

The most recent MOT on 15 November 2025 records a pass at 62,554 miles, indicating the vehicle is presently road‑worthy. The sequence of annual tests shows consistent passing results, suggesting a stable maintenance trend despite the anomalous fail entry on the same date, which lists no defects and therefore appears to be a clerical discrepancy rather than a mechanical issue. At 62,554 miles for a 2016 model, the car averages roughly 6,250 miles per year, a mileage level typical for its age. From the May 2023 test at 40,349 miles to the November 2025 test the mileage rose by 22,205 miles over 2 years and 6 months, reflecting a steady accumulation without abrupt spikes. No gaps or unusually rapid mileage gains are evident, and the absence of recorded advisories across all tests points to a relatively clean service history. A prospective buyer should verify the condition of the suspension bushes and coil springs, as wear can develop unnoticed between MOTs. Inspect the brake discs and calipers for any signs of glazing or uneven wear, particularly given the vehicle’s age. Examine tyre tread depth, sidewall integrity, and the state of the wiper blades, which are consumables not captured in the MOT record. A visual check for corrosion on the wheel arches, under‑body panels, and around the exhaust system will confirm the structural integrity implied by the clean MOT history. Confirm that the pass certificate from November 2025 is genuine and that any paperwork reflects the correct outcome, given the duplicate fail entry.
