2004 Bentley Continental 6.0L Petrol · OO04 GHM

The vehicle presents a high level of roadworthiness based on a consistent history of clean passes. The most recent test conducted in February 2026 at 72,810 miles resulted in no recorded defects, maintaining a stable maintenance trend observed over the last three years. This consistency suggests that the vehicle has been maintained to a standard that avoids the accumulation of minor mechanical faults or gradual structural failures typically seen in cars of this age. The mileage profile is exceptionally low for a 22-year-old Bentley, averaging approximately 3,310 miles per annum. Between February 2023 and February 2026, the car covered only 4,995 miles, indicating very light use or significant periods of storage. The intervals between tests are regular, with mileage increments ranging from 400 to 1,200 miles, which suggests a proactive approach to annual inspections. While low mileage reduces wear on the drivetrain and engine components, it often invites issues related to rubber-based degradation and fluid breakdown due to lack of active operation. Despite the clean MOT record, a buyer must focus on specific areas common to low-mileage luxury grand tourers. The physical inspection should prioritise the condition of the suspension air bags and bushings, which can perish and crack when a vehicle sits stationary for long periods. Check for signs of brake caliper weeping or seized pistons, as infrequent use often leads to corrosion on the braking discs. Additionally, the structural integrity of the chassis should be verified for early-stage rust, as the MOT only checks for visible areas and may not detect deep-seated corrosion in hidden cavities.
