2015 Vauxhall Corsa 1.4L Petrol · SL15 PKF

The Vauxhall Corsa’s most recent MOT test on 2026-02-26—just five months ago—shows an unusual but technically clean pass, despite the duplicate entry suggesting a possible administrative error rather than a mechanical issue. There are no recorded defects across any of the five tests since 2023, which indicates the vehicle has consistently met DVSA’s minimum roadworthiness standards. However, the lack of advisories or warnings in any test is notable, as even minor recurring issues (such as worn suspension bushes or brake pad thickness) are typically flagged as advisories. This absence could imply either meticulous maintenance or a vehicle that has not yet reached the threshold for common failure points in this model. The recorded mileage progression—from 56,143 miles in February 2023 to 85,320 miles today—averages around 7,756 miles per year, which is typical for a Corsa of this age. There are no significant gaps in service intervals, and the mileage accumulation appears steady without abrupt jumps that might suggest deferred maintenance or extended periods of disuse. The most recent test at 85,320 miles aligns with the vehicle’s current odometer reading, confirming no hidden mileage tampering. That said, the lack of pre-MOT servicing records means critical components like timing belts, fuel injectors, or transmission fluid changes cannot be verified. Given the clean MOT history, a buyer should prioritise an independent inspection of the suspension system, particularly the rear coil springs and bushes, as these are common failure points in this model by 11 years and 85,000 miles. The brakes—while not failed—should be checked for uneven pad wear or binding calipers, as the absence of advisories does not preclude gradual degradation. Corrosion around wheel arches, sills, and the subframe is another critical area; even if the MOT tester did not flag it, rust can compromise structural integrity. Finally, the exhaust system should be examined for leaks or excessive corrosion, as catalytic converter failures are increasingly common in this model range. No advisories in the MOT history do not guarantee these components are in perfect condition, so visual and functional checks are essential.
