2016 Volvo XC60 2.4L Diesel · SN65 JEG

The vehicle presents a high standard of roadworthiness, evidenced by a string of clean passes over several consecutive years. The most recent inspection conducted in April 2026 at 79,239 miles resulted in no defects or advisories. This trend indicates a stable maintenance history where the previous owner have consistently maintained the vehicle to meet DVSA standards without allowing minor mechanical or structural issues to escalate into failures. The mileage progression is consistent with typical usage for a decade-old vehicle, averaging approximately 8,000 miles per year. Between the January 2022 test at 34,780 miles and the April 2026 test at 79,239 miles, the car covered 44,459 miles, showing steady use rather than long periods of stagnation. The interval of roughly 11,000 miles between the 2024 and 2025 tests suggests regular driving patterns, which is generally beneficial for preventing the premature degradation of rubber components and brake seals. Since the MOT record shows no recurring faults regarding structural integrity, corrosion, or brake performance, a physical inspection should focus on standard wear items for a Volvo SUV of this age. A buyer should verify the condition of the suspension bushes and coil springs, as these often show wear as the 80,000-mile mark approaches. Despite the clean history, checking for minor fluid leaks around the engine or the state of the tyre treads remains logical steps to ensure the mechanical condition matches the documented paper trail.
