2017 Honda CR-V 1.6L Diesel · AV67 FDM

The most recent MOT test conducted on 11 September 2025 resulted in a pass with no defects or advisories recorded. Looking at the broader history, the maintenance trend appears stable and positive. The vehicle has consistently passed its annual inspections without major mechanical failures or structural corrosion, suggesting a level of consistent care and a lack of neglected critical components over the last six years. With a recorded mileage of 73,959 miles over approximately nine years, the vehicle has averaged roughly 8,218 miles per annum. This represents a typical usage profile for a family SUV of this age. This moderate mileage suggests that while the drivetrain and chassis have not been subjected to excessive wear, the vehicle is entering a phase where standard wear-and-tear items, such as suspension bushings and brake components, will require closer scrutiny to ensure continued roadworthiness. A notable point of concern in the history is the October 2024 test, where all four tyres were flagged as being worn close to the legal limit or worn on the edges. This pattern often indicates a misalignment of the steering or tracking, or perhaps a lack of regular tyre rotation. During a physical inspection, you should examine the current tyre treads for uneven wear or shoulder scrubbing. On the test drive, pay close attention to whether the vehicle pulls to one side or if there is any vibration through the steering wheel, which could point to lingering alignment issues or worn suspension components. Given the vehicle's age, you should also verify the service history to ensure that calendar-based maintenance, such as brake fluid and coolant flushes, has been performed regardless of the annual mileage. Inspect the brake discs for surface corrosion or lip formation and check the rubber suspension bushes for signs of perishing or cracking. Finally, ensure the 12V battery health is optimal and that there are no fluid leaks around the engine bay, as these are common age-related points of failure for vehicles approaching a decade of service.
