2014 Ford Mondeo 2.0L Diesel · CU14 JVY

The 2014 Ford Mondeo presents a currently roadworthy status, having passed the most recent test on 20 January 2026 at 189,493 miles with no defects recorded. The maintenance trend across the available history reads as stable, with the DVSA record showing clean passes in 2024, 2025, and 2026 and no advisories raised on any entry. A failed test on 21 January 2025 at 175,032 miles closed the same day with a pass and no defects logged, indicating a minor administrative or retest correction rather than a mechanical fault left unresolved. Mileage stands high for a twelve-year-old vehicle. The record shows 142,120 miles at the October 2022 test, rising to 160,981 by January 2024, then 175,032 in January 2025, and 189,493 by January 2026. That tracks near the 15,800 miles per year average, though a gap between October 2022 and January 2024 leaves roughly fifteen months untested. Annual accumulation stayed consistent at roughly 14,000 to 15,000 miles, pointing to steady motorway or commuter use rather than neglect through standing. No tester flagged suspension bushes, coil springs, brake discs, binding calipers, corrosion, or exhaust emissions across the five entries. The absence of advisories suggests previous owners kept the car to a basic pass standard, but high mileage at this age warrants a physical check of structural integrity and worn consumables the MOT may not capture. A buyer should inspect front and rear brake disc wear, suspension arm bushes, and subframe corrosion in person before purchase. Tyre tread depth and wiper condition need a visual confirm despite no faults raised. The clean record gives no warning of recurring faults, yet 189,493 miles demands scrutiny of drivetrain and steering joints a road test can expose.
