2006 Aston Martin Vantage 4.3L Petrol · V8 XVY

The vehicle maintains a high standard of roadworthiness, evidenced by a clean record of consecutive MOT passes. The most recent test on 9 April 2026 at 11,631 miles resulted in no defects or advisories. This indicates a stable maintenance trend where the vehicle has consistently been presented and kept in a condition that meets DVSA safety and emission standards without recurring mechanical failures or structural depletions. The mileage pattern is exceptionally low for a twenty-year-old vehicle, averaging approximately 582 miles per year. Between December 2021 at 3,599 miles and April 2026 at 11,631 miles, the car covered only 8,032 miles over four and a half years. This usage suggests the vehicle is likely stored and used sporadically, which minimizes mechanical wear on the drivetrain, engine components, and brake assemblies. While low mileage preserves de-wear items, the long periods of standing often introduce specific risks related to rubber-based components that are not captured by mileage alone. A buyer must conduct a physical inspection focusing on components that suffer from age rather than distance. Priority should be given to checking for cracking in suspension bushes, perished rubber hoses, and degraded seals, which can become brittle during stationary periods. The brake system should be inspected for corrosion on the discs and seized calipers, as infrequent use often prevents the pistons from moving freely. Additionally, the tyres should be checked for flat spotting and sidewall degradation, as the tread depth does not guarantee the structural integrity of the compound after two decades.
